On Elmley RSPB reserve lapwings are one of the most readily observed breeding birds. At certain times the grass is alive with cute bundles of lanky legged fluff. 2007 has been a wet spring and it has been touching to see the plover parents sheltering their young from the persistant rain. This little guy is wondering whether to join his three siblings beneath the protective wings of his parent.
